The plants below offer a wide range of summer interest for both sun and shade (don't forget the Astilbes for color in those shady spots). Of course you'll find the old standards - coneflower, rudbeckia, phlox, bellflowers, salvia - but look closer for some more unusual plants like crocosmia, aconitums, balloon flower and lots more. Check out the Daylily list also. I had hoped to have pictures here but winter turned to spring and I just don't have time to sit at the computer - maybe next year. |
