Well, here it is at last--your one-stop shopping center to get all of the buccaneer's works! And yes, some of you mateys have finally convinced the crusty old privateer to start doing some of his work using Fast Tracker (Arr, sez Pete, methinks I still like ScreamTracker better though!) Enjoy!

Notes:

Those of you who have visited this page previously will notice a new format--I've broken the page up into several smaller pages which (hopefully) will eat up less loading time. Click on one of the navigation bar items ("Next", "Prev","First", or "Last", when applicable) to go to the appropriate pages.
The .ZIP files available for download on this page have been compressed using PKZIP v2.04G. Jump to the home page of PKWARE, Inc. if you need this utility. .LHA files require LHArc, v2.55 to extract.
To be able to play the music contained in the archives, you must have a MOD PLAYER. To create music, you need a MOD TRACKER. See my discussion on the merits of different MOD players. If you are interested in creating your own MOD music, you will need a TRACKER (MOD music creation program) and SAMPLES (digital instruments). For a beginner's tracker, I'd recommend ScreamTracker 3.21 or ModEdit 3.0. You can grab samples from modules or from here. See also my MOD tutorial for help with tracking.
Each .ZIP archive contains a short DOS ASCII text file (with lines delimited by CR/LF rather than simply LF as with Amiga) which gives a brief description of the song.

Yafeh Y'rushalayem FastTracker Techno The title is Hebrew for "Beautiful Jerusalem." She's the jewel of three major world religions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity), and the future home of every person on Earth when the King returns to establish His Kingdom. I wanted to give this composition a title that expressed my love for the future Throne of my Master. Unfortunately, my Hebrew is virtually non-existent, so with the help of my friends at Temple Shalom of Wheeling, WV, I came up with this one.

hopeinen kuu (remix by PP) ScreamTracker Jazz Originally, this tune came from a 20-second piece by Strobo I picked-up on Gryzor's "Mods Anthology I". I fell in love with its "50's private-eye movie" ambience immediately. I reworked it, expanded it, cleaned up the volume envelopes, and tuned a few instruments. I did enough work to consider this my own work. I have no idea what the title means (I assume it's in Finnish, since Strobo is from Finland--anyone speak Finnish?). I just hope it's nothing nasty! Original by Strobo, Remixed 20 Sep 97 by me.

Update 20 Oct 97: I was just informed by a Finnish friend that the title means "Silvery Moon"--whew! Had me worried there! ;-)

Maranatha Rock ScreamTracker Light Rock I love Jesus. A long time ago, I used to have religious tunes floating around in my head, but since I'm not a musician (technically speaking--I can't play any conventional instrument) I had no way to get the tunes out of my mind. Now I have ScreamnTracker 3.21, the neatest thing since automatic toilet paper dispensers. This isn't your typical "I love Jesus" melody...be prepared to rock!

Rushing Toward Disaster ScreamTracker Contemplative Many of my tunes have dark or contemplative melody--this isn't because I'm a dark and moody person by nature (although I do get that way at times ;-), it's just the subject matter of most of my songs (as with this one) tend toward themes of an eschatological (i.e., "end times") nature.

Party Rock ScreamTracker Hard Rock I never was much for acid or metal rock, but once every blue moon I feel a teensy bit rebellious and get the urge to listen to a heavy rock beat such as this one, with lots of metal 'razz' guitars and a 'bad' (as in 'rad,' 'cool,' 'neat,' 'with it,' 'kickin'') theme (you gotta wonder sometimes about the etymology of our 'modern' vocabulary--if 'bad' is supposed to be 'good,' does 'good' mean 'bad'? ;)

Catalina Harbor FastTracker Contemplative About 10 years ago, just after I married my wife Sandy, we both had the opportunity to take a sea cruise from Long Beach, California to Catalina Island. The ship took us to Avalon Harbor, a small, idyllic cove on the southeastern side of the island. As dark approached, we hopped onto one of the more popular tourist attractions, a night boat ride along the shoreline, and we watched with joy as dozens of 'flying' fish leapt over and around us. My wife's favorite part of the trip was the trip home, as we sat on the top deck of the boat 'under the stars.'
This song brings back those joyful days for both of us.

Armageddon Complex FastTracker Ambient/atmospheric I was going for something dark and mysterious here. I'm a firm believer in apocalyptic literature as 'literal truth mixed with metaphor.' I believe we are in the 'end times' as predicted by John in the Book of Revelation. This mod outlines the way I see the end coming about--through nuclear war. Sure, we've made friends with the Russians, but there is still a great possibility that our massive arsenal of nuclear weapons will be put to use--no one knows when or how, but one thing is for sure--The End is coming. When it gets here, I just hope I'm right with the Lord.

This is my first real rave mod--everything else has been a mishmash of techno, house, and light rock.
