Baby Samuel's Story

by Frank Joseph, MD

One of the most amazing photographs, that you'll ever see, is that of Samuel, a 21 week old baby boy, whose tiny hand reaches out of the womb to grab the finger of the surgeon, who was operating on him -- as if to say, "Thanks Doc, you did a wonderful job."

It happened when Dr. Joseph P. Bruner, director of fetal diagnosis and treatment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, was performing a cutting-edge procedure on the 21-week-old fetus. Bruner and Samuel's parents hope the surgery will alleviate the effects of spina bifida, a disabling birth defect in one or two of every 1,000 babies born. During the procedure, surgeons remove the uterus from the mother, drain the amniotic fluid, perform surgery on the tiny fetus, replace everything and put the entire package back inside the mother. The procedure on Samuel took about an hour

There are no words to describe this incredible picture. If this photo doesn’t set the abortion industry and the PCKU ("pro choice to kill the unborn") on its ears, then Heaven help us. The defenders of a women’s right to kill her unborn baby, would have you believe that Samuel is nothing but a non-sentient blob of tissue. Never again will they be able to make that statement.

With all that open space, instead of just reaching for air, the baby’s hand, actually grabbed the doctor’s finger. In my book, this 21 week old precious creation of God is more sentient than those, who advocate the proposition that a woman should have the right to kill her unborn baby, if she so chooses, It was almost as if Samuel was shaking the finger of the hand of the man who was trying to save his live -- to thank him for his compassion and efforts. Contrast this, to the advocates of abortion, who sealed their pact with the devil, by shaking the hand of Satan.

Would you believe, that our president, vetoed the ban twice, and is about to veto it again, that would have prevented doctors from killing babies, Samuel's age and even older, while they're being born. And lets not forget the Senators, who agreed with Clinton.

It must be shown to the whole world and you can bet that the liberal press and media in general, will try to suppress it.

Why, It’s already begun.

Matt Drudge and FOX News Battle Over Unborn Child Photo.

New York -- Infamous Internet columnist Matt Drudge walked off his Fox News Channel show Saturday, charging that network executives were censoring him because they refused to let him show a picture of an unborn child.

"I can't sit there and edit what I'm going to say," the Internet columnist said. "I got really upset. . . . I have to wonder whether their motto of 'we report, you decide' isn't just some Madison Avenue slogan."

The showdown came hours before air time when John Moody, Fox's vice president for news, told Drudge he could not show a National Enquirer photo of a 21-week-old unborn child. Drudge, whom the Washington Post called, "an ardent opponent of abortion," wanted to brandish the picture of a tiny hand reaching out from the womb to dramatize a baby's development at that stage. But Moody decided that would be misleading because the tabloid photo dealt not with abortion but with an emergency operation on the fetus for spina bifida.

"Matt's entitled to his opinion. It was an editorial decision. We weren't going to force him to do the show," Fox spokesman Brian Lewis said yesterday. Fox News President Roger Ailes supported the decision, Lewis said.

Drudge, reached by phone this morning in Los Angeles, disputed Fox's account and accused the network of censorship. ``This notion that I was going to misrepresent this as an abortion is junk,'' Drudge said.

``He was using this photo from the National Enquirer as a jumping-off point to talk about partial-birth abortion,'' said Lewis. ``It was a picture of an emergency operation for spina bifida. We thought it was a blatant misrepresentation. It was a straight editorial decision.''

Drudge said he ``was going to show it and bill it as an operation for spina bifida, and just say, 'What does it say about life? Look at this hand coming out.''' He added: ``If I was going to show a picture of an ostrich egg with a foot popping out, it would be fine. It happens to be a picture of a human. People get upset about that.''

Drudge has a regular Saturday slot on Fox. He described the show as a ``one-man outlook'' that combines breaking news and commentary.

Asserting that ``the abortion issue is red-hot this election,'' Drudge added: ``I'm not trying to censor what (Fox owner Rupert) Murdoch says; I don't know why he's trying to censor what I say.'' Drudge also contended he told Fox in advance about the picture so that permission could be obtained from the Enquirer.

Lewis said Fox expects Drudge to show up for his program Saturday. Drudge said that when he does, he will try again to show the photo.

Good for you, Matt Drudge. One has got to wonder -- why the censorship for a true newsworthy story. A story that could only enlighten the viewers and make them happy, unless the viewer is an abortion advocate, in which case, it would make them sick, because they envision their entire Satanist world tumbling down. Had this been a picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with elephant feces and vaginas and anuses all over it -- then it would have been acceptable to the media. That, they actually showed on TV. You'd think that the ACLU would be pounding at Drudge’s door.

I urge you all, to e-mail this picture to Clinton and all the Senators, who voted not to ban the gruesome partial-birth abortion, along with your remarks. If you need their e-mail addresses again, let me know.
