Abortion should be illegal and not given as a third option to pregnant females, especially teenagers. There is too much room for coercion from embarressed parents, scared boyfriends, and doctor's who say "I can't tell you what to do, but college is a better choice." Please tell me how I can help stop our government from allowing abortions. The choice is made before sex, not after.

I grew up in a small town, where geting pregnant as young as 13 was common place, and abortions were NORMAL, can you believe it? And on the other hand i also knew of other women who wanted a child with all their hearts and couldn't, since the age of 12 i have been against abortion. I am now 22 and the proud mother of two healthy and beautiful children. Even when i found out that i was pregnant the first time, i was single, living on next to nothing i still never thought of abortion, i would of rather given the baby up for adoption,and give someone else the chance at raising a child, but even adoptions seemed out of the question. During my pregnancy I met the love of my life, he accepted me and my unborn child and thought of him, Reese my son, as his own from day one of our relationship. We now also have a daughter together, but she isn't thought of as his first but that of his second child. I just want to send out the message that becoming pregnant may seem like the end of your world, but that you should think of it as the beginning of your baby's world.

I think that abortion is totally wrong, I know a man who's wife aborted the baby without him even knowing. I believe that if a woman is going to die b/c of the baby, then the baby should be removed, and tried to be saved, but if it's absolutely necessary then so be it.

Why punish the kid? The kid didn't do anything! If the mom wants to mess around, she should accept the consequences. If she is raped, I feel sorry for her, but the baby still didn't do anything. I do not believe any federal funding should go towards abortion under any circumstances, nor do I believe abortion is right in cases of incest or rape or to even save the mothers life. Gods plan has meaning, people have a free will givin to them by God, it is up to us to carry out the will God wants us to and not to make excuses for doing the wrong thing!

I can't even begin to wonder how people call themselves moral and compassionate human beings when they believe in destroying an innocent life to make their own easier. There is no pro-choice, only pro-abortion. You make the choice when you CHOOSE to have sex. Some say it is ok in cases of rape or incest, because the mother did nothing wrong and did not consent to sex. This is very true, it is not ones fault who is raped. And it is not the baby's fault that it was made. It had no decision, no say, it was just created. People who argue for abortion in these cases are bass ackwards. I've gotten caught up in the campaign and constantly argue with friends at school about this issue. Their primary argument is that the fetus is not actually a human being unless it has a brain, sensory organs, a heartbeat....etc, which seems to be the "big question" in any abortion argument. It IS a life...in the lowest stage of development, but a life non the less. Who are we to decide when it has value? An apple seed will grow into an apple tree if it is planted and given water and sunlight. The seed is in the first stage of becoming a full grown tree, and just because it doesn't have branches or fruit yet doesn't deny the fact that it IS an apple tree...just in the first stage of development. We talk about OUR rights to choose as women, rights for ourselves and our bodies. But this is not about us...it's about something else...something defensless and innocent.

Abortion is against everything a real woman stands for. Women are deceived into thinking it is freedom. Instead it is a prison that allows us to be used by men then the evidence disposed of so we can be used even more. If pet owners stopped neutering their animals, but used abortion methods used on human babies to get rid of unwanted litters, the cry across this nation would be deafening. It would be far better for women to have their tubes tied until they were ready to have children than to dismember, poision, starve or suck the brains out of their unborn babies. It is barbaric & it amazes me that so many cannot see the horror of it. What if let's say the Learning Channel would do a live show on a doctor performing the different kinds of abortions in a clinic? Wouldn't that better inform the public about what it truly means?

My brother's girlfriend recently aborted. He and our entire family are devastated. I have concerns for his health as the guilt is overwhelming him. I cry for my unborn neice or newphew and feel like I am missing a part of the family. This child could have benefited the world greatly, but we will never know. He/she could have just been a good husband/wife, worker, father or friend. My cousin's wife was told to abort for fetal birth defects, she chose not to and her daughter is 3, extremely bright and loving. She knows her ABC's, numbers and loves to play with her "puter and mouse." When you decide pro-life or not, I hope that your heart is not hardened and full of selfish rebellion. I hope your decision is based on esteeming someone else above your own needs. I hope your excuses are not based on the fear of the unknown. Courage and faith will pull you through. Each life has a special plan, it is not a coincidence you are pregnant nor an accident. So many women are desiring to have babies and can't, how blessed you are to have a life growing inside of you. I would think that persons that choose pro-life are either very sensitive and dislike being told what to do or are too weak to take a stand. I will defend the rights of the unborn, without violence, but with prayer and education.

Abortin is not a form of contraception that should be utilized by the general female population.I believe that it should be used only in circumstances where the mother already has a disability that will effect her up bringing of the child, or that the pregnancy will effect the mothers health too much. eg. where the mother is mentally retarded.

I am a Born Again Completed Jewess in Messiah Yeshua/Jesus, and have volunteered with Pro-Life Advocates for a few years in my home state of NJ. I have seen first hand the effects of Abortion on MEN... Yes! MEN. The "Father's" of the Aborted/Murdered Babies. I use the term: MURDER as ALL ABORTION IS PRE-MEDITATED MURDER.

Many couples, most married, become devastated to the point of Divorce due to the "CHOICES" they made in total Ignorance for many diversified reasons. Some of the reasons which were discussed are for mere personal Convenience: such as Financial, Practical - being that their home was too small and overcrowded, their Jobs had to come first, the woman could not "Handle" and other child, the car was too small, the "cats" would be jealous, and on and on the blatant selfishness and excuses would come dribbling out in order to justify ENDING A PRECIOUS LITTLE LIFE, THAT NEVER HAD A CHANCE.

It got to the point that it was just Unbelievable, the excuses they came up with to soothe their own guilty consciences. Then there are those who have No consciences at all. These were the most troubling; as they seemed to have No Souls, not a shred of caring, and No regard for Human LIFE... many of these were women who had multiple Abortions on demand. These were like hardened criminals: Yet at times they would "break"; forcing them to seek counseling services, and help in coming to (some kind of) Terms with the Choices they had made.

I heard the stories of many MEN whose wives, and girlfriends never consulted with them concerning the Life of their unborn child. These men were blatantly ignored, and would have to make sense out of the most helpless and hopeless situation that they would ever experience in their lives; because they were not afforded the possibility of putting a Stop to the eventual Murder/Abortion of their unborn child. In 95% of these cases, the WOMEN did not want their Husbands, or Boyfriends to KNOW that they were about to MURDER/ABORT their BABY. The contributing problems are vast, however, if there would have been Communication and Honesty between man and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend; I believe that a majority of these Murders would NOT have taken place. Darkness begets Darkness, Lies beget Lies, Death begets Death. We ALL have choices to make: We can choose Life or we can choose Death; and for the past 30 Years over 40 Million BABIES did NOT have the Right to CHOOSE LIFE... Because their very own: MOTHERS and some FATHERS CHOSE TO SACRIFICE THEM ON THE ALTAR OF MOLECH.

My wife and I used to vote for liberal Democrats. We still support almost all their policies. Hello and thank you for your web page! I am the mother of a beautiful boy diagnosed with a birth defect during an early ultrasound. I am especially interested in getting the word out there that abortion is not the answer, especially based on the results of an ultrasound that may indicate fetal problems. In my experience, the ultrasound was accurate regarding my son's club foot condition but inacurate in diagnosing other more serious problems in my son. He is perfect in every way. A coworker of mine was urged to consider an abortion because they spotted a brain tumor on her daughter during the ultrasound...She didn't terminate the pregnancy and with later testing, no brain tumor was found. In the case of the mother's life in danger, abortion is not the answer. The baby would be surgically removed, because giving birth is less harmful to a mother than an abortion would be.

My beliefs are congruent with those espoused by the Roman Catholic Church -- After research and contemplation I realize that they now and always have had it right. This all started with Birth Control and will end with mind control.

It should be up to the woman not the gov. A woman must live with her own demons. Late term should be given up for adoption.

My parents separated shortly after I was conceived, and my mother, already having two children and no job, was going to abort me. She needed to travel out of state to do this, and my father found out and stopped her. He moved back in. Roe v. Wade was in the same month as my due date (I was born a month early though). My parents ultimately divorced shortly after that, my father got custody of myself and my older brother and sister. I am VERY thankful that abortion was not yet legal in the state I lived in, because if it were, my mother could have aborted me without my father ever knowing.

Anybody that would even think to destroy a human baby in or out of the womb ought to be deeply ashamed, whether religionist or atheist. Any who would do such a thing cannot be members of the same human race that I am. It takes a special breed even to rise to the occasion of seriously considering such a thing. In conscience, I could not claim kinship with such individuals. Three of the questions above need a "neither" reply. That would be the questions that ask, "Should abortion be prohibited except to save the mothers life, etc." If one says, "Yes," one is stating that abortion would be okay to save the mother's life. If one says, "No," I assume that one is saying that abortion should NOT be prohibited except when it is necessary to save the mother's life, which doesn't make much sense. There is no choice that says, "I do not believe abortion should be committed even to save the life of the mother." I think a so-called ectopic pregnancy is the only justifiable scenario that would justify abortion, because the child has no chance in such things as "tubal pregnancy."

I am pro-life. no exceptions. a baby has the right to life, no matter what circumsstances it is brought into the world. I am the result of date/rape and I was put up for adoption. Even mentally retarded people have the same right to live as anyone else. In the case of saving the mother's life, I believe that God is aware of complications that a mother can have. He will take care of those who are at risk, and he will take home (or punish) those who di!e. In the case of parents or father's consent, i do not know. If it had been up to my father, I would not be filling out this survey. But what is more important is that we convince people that abortion IS murder. Making it illegal won't stop abortions. But, if the public's opinion can be changed, the law will come more easily. With the stupid courts we have now, we will never make abortion illegal.

I believe in a woman's life to choose. It is that simple and that complex. While there is life at conception, it is not a person. It only has the potential of being a person. God performs the vast majority of abortions, the majority of conceptions are "aborted" - it is called a miscarriage. God does this when there is something wrong with the fetus. Do I love children? You bet I do! When children are wanted and have parents that are prepared to have them and can give them the care they deserve, there is nothing more wonderful than the birth of a child. But, children who are not wanted, who come to the world to be abused, neglected, etc. don't deserve that life sentence. Everyone can moralize about "babies", but a close look at how we treat our handicapped adults in this country shows that we are romantics who care little about dealing with the truth. Do I think handicapped people should be allowed to live? You bet I do. I volunteer and work with them. But, I can honestly say I have never run into a "pro-lifer" among the other volunteers. My final statement/question to the pro-life movement is this: I've been around fundamentalist Christians all of my life. One thing is clear, they really believe that the vast majority of people who breathe are eventually bound for hell for eternal damnation. My question is this - If you believe that the fetus ("preborn baby") has a soul, would you also agree that if that fetus is aborted its soul will go to heaven? Now, dear Christians, if the fetus is saved from abortion and grows up in this world, what are the chances you give this human being for going to heaven? I'll take the "pre-born baby's" odds over the adult any day under the philosophy of the fundamentalist. Yes, "life is a beautiful thing" if you happen to have the luck to be born white, middle-class, physically and mentally sound, with two parents in the home, and are not sexually, emotionally, or physically abused. I beleive that life begins at conception. I am an active christian and all life in God's control. In Psalms 139:13-14 it says,"For You created my innermost being; You knit me together in my mothers womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." This states that God has mwade us whole in our mothers. According to biology the characteristics of life are the ability to develop, reproduce and grow. Also, all living things have organization of systems, and metabolic processes. How can an unborn child be considered non-living if it is able to breath, digest food, dream, and show movement and signs of response to pain if they are not alive. Abortion is wrong in all aspects. According to medical reports it is very rare that abortions are done to save a mothers life. And only about 1% of all abortions are due to rape. The only evidence available is to use abortion as a means of birth control.

There are 3 states in the Union that have over 50% Catholic population-Conn.,Mass.,R.I. all of their senators voted for partial birth abortion. N.J. has a 46% Catholic population and their senators did the same. 16 of the 36 senators who voted for this are from states that have approx. 1/3 or more Catholic population. When you think of a baby being born, arms and legs wiggling, heart beating, and only the head left in the womb-then scissors stabbed into the back of the skull,this appears to be murder. Where is our Catholic conscience? Why haven't we thrown these people out of office?

Two of my daughters elected to continue their pregnancy and keep their children (ages 18 and 19). Both daughters, though parents of other children and married now have both suffered horribly both economically and socially by cutting short their education - thus their earnings potential and their social development by becoming parents while still children. Both have told me that if given the chance to live their lives over, even as muc!h as they love their children, they would choose not to have a child at such a young age. It was not fair to the child or them. I also held the hand of my 15 year old when she and I chose the abortion route. My baby and I cried long and hard, knowing full well what we were doing. However, my youngest has the chance to lead a full life without the burden of motherhood while still a child. We live in a small town, birth and adoption was not an option if my child was to have a chance at alife of her own. Her young boyfriend and his family supported our painful decision there was much discussion and pain amoung all involved. I witnessed the whole procedure. It was not pleasant, The medical personnel were caring, concerned and helpful. And contrary to some stories, this doctor treated the remains respectfully in our presence. Her family doctor has followed up with her freque!ntly for both physical and emotional trauma. No - abortion should not be a form of birth control or a decision made lightly. All life has to be considered. My child will always wonder about the child that never was as will I always wonder about my grandchild. However, no government should dictate personal and religious choices and belief. We both prayed to God, asked for guidance, acceptance and forgiveness. God's loving grace now holds the life that almost was. That little soul has the chance to return at another time. AMEN

For my political science class, we need to come up with a policy against abortion. It's been very hard on our group because it's such a broad issue. We've narrowed it down to this: Abortion is wrong except to save the mother's life (ectopic pregnancy). We will also define the abortion techniques for the three trimesters. When we finally write our "policy paper" we will say that abortion should be illegal in all women's clinics, and if one is necessary, it would be performed in the general hospital. Any other illegal practices of abortion will result in the loss of the medical license of the doctor, and they will both be tried in the murder in the first degree. As the father of a 19 month old boy, and a two week old little girl, and after being a part of Ultra-sounds, heart monitors, and 9 months of kicks, I find it so hard to comprehend the phrase Pro Choice. We live in a society where you can go to jail for killing particular animals, but it is a woman's "Right" to kill an innocent baby that is already a part of our world. Help me with the logic: We find children who kill a newborn baby to conceal a pregnancy g!uilty of "Capital Murder", yet we find doctors who puncture the base of a skull,vacuuming the brain, then removing the dead corpse of a defenseless baby as simply helping a woman to exercise her protected rights. No person of intellect can credibly argue the point, and no person of God can hang onto the belief that Abortion, for any reason, is justifiable.

The questions regarding abortion for maternal health/life, need to be reworded. The Supreme Court decision of Doe v Bolton (same day as Roe v Wade) defined "maternal health" so loosely as to include finances, career plans, relationship problems, etc. to be "maternal health" excuses for even third trimester abortion. According to the Alan Guttmacher Instititute (research arm of Planned Parenthood) there no longer is the need for abortion to save a woman's life. Even abortionist Warren Hern (considered an expert on abortion) acknowledges that truly therapeutic abortion is no longer a medical necessity. He admits that his view of female biology and pregnancy defines ALL pregnant women as diseased and even third trimester abortion (when both mother and child are considered healthy by the rest of us) therefore justifiable under the "maternal health/life" loophole. It is only when comparing best case abortion risk scenario to worst case childbirth risk scenario that abortion seems "needed" and/or allowing the child to be born seems "life threatening" to the mother. Removal of an ectopic pregnancy is the only case where allowing a pregnancy to continue would result in the mother's death. This surgery is not an abortion and there is nothing that can be currently done to save the baby. When a pro-life person answers "no" to allowing abortions for maternal health/life they appear heartless or anti-woman to the uninformed. Yet they don't want to endorse something they oppose because of tricky wording of the survey questions. Why would a survey ask a question about something that does not happen? I can understand the motive of those employed in the abortion industry for using survey questions that are misleading. I don't understand why some pro-life organizations (and the media - which is supposed to be neutral), sometimes pose such questions. I advise pro-lifers to answer "Doe v Bolton" (or to quote those in the abortion industry who reveal that "maternal health/life" is a loophole for allowing even late-term abortions for non-medical reasons), when faced with such survey questions.

I found your article titled The Third Victim while searching for post abortion therapy for men. Your article spoke exactly to my situation. Reading your article helped me alot to start to understand why my emotions have been so extreme regarding the abortion of my third child (which I actually watched the chunks of my baby go through the CLEAR plastic tube into the suction unit). As a father and husband, I believed that I was supposed t!!o do whatever it took to keep the family unit in tact. I also believed that my wife would make sound decisions for our children. I went along with her decision to use abortion as birth control, against my own values, to keep our relationship together. We are now divorced and my life has gone through emotional hell. In all of the stuff I have read on abortion, 99% of the focus is on the woman and her decision and her emotional trauma. I am here to testify that the father suffers an equal if not greater emotional trauma. We as fathers have no choice! Abortion not only takes the life of a child but also the soles of good fathers. I cry daily for the son I always wanted to have. I love you Jarad Michael!! REST IN PEACE!!

Abortion should be legal under any circumstance the first trimester

Having previously read some comments made, those for killing a child make me sick. Thousands, maybe more than we realize, of infertile couples wish to adopt a child. They are being prohibited this. There is a lack of children to be adopted. No one can tell me to adopt them myself. I dont have to because families are out there. Personally I have seen parents given their lifeline through adoption. Working in child care, I deal daily with twin boys with a mild case of fetal alcohol syndrome. Their birth mother almost had an abortion. I cannot begin to fathom my life without them. Life dances in their eyes, and only true love come from deep within their souls. God had a plan for them, and I am grateful I was included. All pro-abortionists need to look into a child's eyes, and they will see true love. I cannot hold a child without feeling love. Babies are the way to see God. They know him. They can see God's love in people, and they can also see the hate in other's eyes. Without all children, we will always be missing out on pure love. God bless everyone. Dear Lord, please protect the young and unborn. May their goodness shine in the world's presence and teach us the way. Amen.

I saw a bumper sticker the other day. It read: " Abortion One Dead One Wounded" All the retohric going around about freedom of choice ignores the very important fact that going through an abortion is a wounding process to the mother. The industry will fall when the wounded come forward, admit to what has happenned, and begin to heal. Until the "Christian Community" reaches out to the "wounded" and recieves them with forg!iveness, the cloud of guilt will hang, the wounds will fester, and the killing of children will continue.

i think abortion is a private choice and any women should have the right to it.

i am personally against abortion meaning i could never have one no matter the circumstances. however i think our country has seen the effect of prohibitin aboritons through the alley-way abortions and i think prohibitin causes more harm than good. then you not only put the fetus in harm's way, but you put the mother's life at risk. i completely disagree with abortion after the third trimester when the fetus is definitely sentient. making abortion illegal again would just mean people will do it behind closed doors with little knowledge and support. if you haven't seen the movie "Behind These Walls" i highly recommend it.

Abortion is a symptom of a greater societal illness. Our hedonistic preoccupation with "fulfillment" and self-gratification has led us to this sad state where we turn our backs on our most dependant members. Abortion does not say good things about us as a society, and it undermines what we believe about ourselves as a nation. We cannot continue to allow the murder of over a million innocent citizens a year and continue to hold ourselves up as an international standard of freedom and human rights.

I am not in favor of abortion for the "health" of the mother. If it is a tubal pregnancy that would kill the mother and the child could not be saved, that is the only kind of abortion I would concider. So when I no on some of the questions - I mean - no abortion funding at all, not for rape or incest. The tubal pregnancy operation is already covered. I wonder, are all the people who have left messages praying every day for our bl!oody country? We stand in great peril for the spilling of so much innocent blood. And the poison pen of President Clinton who legalized murdering children as they immerge from the womb.

Personally I think that ABORTION sould be banned in any circumstance! GOD made that baby,and GOD doesn't make mistakes. So, even if the doctor said that I would die if I had my baby I would go ahead and have the baby. If I died giving birth,that would be GOD's will!!!

I believe that human life is from conception to natural death. And, I do not believe we, as humans have the right to play God with the lives of other human beings. I would like to know if there is a way for me to be of some help. My husband and I don't have very little money, but I have quite a bit of free time and am willing to volunteer that time in any way needed. If there is something I can do please let me know. I've heard the argument that if you enforce a law making abortion illegal the mother would have a backyard abortion which could be harmfull. We don't legalse heroin because the dirty needle could be a hazard. Remember there are "TWO" (2) lives. (3 if you include the father) Abortion in my opinion is murder.

As with all surveys, where I really fit in is not a choice. What I would like to see happen is that abortion be basically illegal. The issue then is what to do in cases where there is the REAL situation where there is a MEDICALLY VALID need to select either the life of the mother or the life of the child. In such cases there should be no penalty to the doctor, mother or father if a decision is made to save the mother at the expense of the child. I would ho wever, like to see the father having equal voice in the decision. Essentially -- as between the mother and father -- either having veto power over the decision process, and the consent of BOTH needed to save the mother's life. In truth such situations are likely rare, and of necessity heartbreaking. But as I understand it, this is essentially the position and practice in existence pre Roe v. Wade. Also, I have answered "yes" to all options in your survey which would in any way reduce the number of "elective" abortions. I did not select "against abortion under all circumstances" as this would seem to remove the ability to save a mothers life in those rare circumstances when one is literally forced to choose between saving either the mother's or baby's life.

I'm a 18 Year old High School Senior and about a month ago I was coming to my High School and there were people with signs that has dead babies on them and I felt very sick to my stomach when looking at them! Iam against Abortion the only way I will support a abortion is when there is a young teenager who has had sex with someone older than her and has made sex and then left her! That is not fair to the teenager to be pregant and then left by the other male. If ANY guy who has sex with a teenager who is older than her by 2-3 years and has left her he should be put in jail for rape, fined and has to pay for this girls abortion. I am extremly Pro-Life and I am very pleased to see that there are so many resources available for people to read about what abortion is-the taking of the life of an innocent human being.

i am totally against abortion simply because it is killing an innocent human life. However, i would not choose to makeit illegal because this would only force women to seek "back alley" or secret,illegal abortions. The proper medical procedures would not be followed and would put the mother at an even higher risk to be injured. Making abortion illegal would not stop abortion, it would only make it more dangerous.

When you say "infanticide" above, do you mean life begins at conception or later? I assumed the former. I would prohibit the murder of a child after his life begins, and my definition of that follows. In regard to your question, "When does life begin?" I would answer that legally it begins when both parents declare intent to carry a life to term, and philosophically life begins with a child's naming, or christening if you prefer.

Abortion is wrong..it doesn't give the baby a chance to speak his or her mind..if u r going to abort the baby...someone would want it..give it up for adoption..but don't MURDER....

when life begins: i don't think "life" begins at any point except one, there is no point from the first cell to all life that the chain has been broken and the creature, human or otherwise is not alive during the reproductive period or any other time in the life cycle

If there was no way to save the mother and the child both, and/or the child would die in the delivery then abortion would be an option.

Just to clarify my answers: I believe abortion should be outlawed under all circumstances. If the life of the mother is at risk all reasonable action should be taken to save the mother and the child. Of course some times this will be impossible but the effort must be made. We must remember there are two patients, not just one. Also rape or insest do not diminish the humanity of the child in question, nor disqualify them from the human race. God gives life and only He should take it, according to His timeing.

I have asked several pro-abortion US Senators to consider that "giving the gift of life should mean more than just giving blood or donating one's organs, but should also mean giving birth to a trusting baby waiting to be born." My bumber sticker says "Give the Gift of Life, Give Birth" and has a medical symbol on it. Question 12 ..Why I say "No" on this portion of your survey that deals with the life of the mother. The God I worship, allows the mother to live or "die" (to enter either heaven or hell). Therefore even the reason for "the life of the mother" is not a reason to kill the baby. This is a great test of one's faith in the power of life over death. But Jesus overcame the power of the grave....

re: Question 9 - Currently in Canada, there are no laws regarding aboriton whatsoever. This works pretty well due to the nature of our medical system. I believe abortion should be legal in all circumstances up to the end of the first trimester, and that abortions in the second trimester should be limited to rape/incest/medical purposes. I do not believe in abortions after the third trimester has begun, and that they should only be used to save the life of the mother or in exceptional birth defect situations (i.e when fetus will die soon after birth anyways). However, I am not willing to legislate it to force my beliefs on anyone. I may not chose abortion for myself, but I acknowledge that others have different religious/moral/political views than I, am I think it's arrogant for anyone to claim that they are 100% right on an issue as contraversial as this.

I beleive abortion should be used only to save the life of the mother in circumstances where both the mother and child would both die if the procedure were not performed (lesser of two catastrophes). Lots of those questions were too weak in their language for my tastes. Abortion is WRONG in all instances. I do not think that ANY baby should be killed, for ANY reason, with or without consent of the father, parents, government, or other concerned parties.The government should not pay for ANY abortions, because they should ALL be ILLEAGAL!!!! I myself was the victime of rape, & conceived a child. That baby is the most wonderful child any mother would be proud to have, and the secret of the child's conception is all my own. The child will NEVER know that it was not conceived in love.

The problem with Fundamentalists, be they Muslims or Christians, is that they believe in controling other peoples' lives. Unfortunately, these anti-democratic types have captured the Southern Baptist Convention, and what used to be the conservative wing of the Republican Party. This will cause the Republicans to be a minority party, and live in a small tent, looking at each other, wondering why everyone doesn't agree with them.

Imagine the following shopping center: a liquor store, a tattoo parlor, a bar, a topless club, a body-piercing salon, a lottery ticket retailer, a tobacco shop, a tanning salon, a blood donation center, and an abortion clinic. Guess which establishment is the only one that would allow a minor in without a parent's permission, supervison, or even knowledge? A minor cannot vote, and minors under the age of sixteen cannot drive. Why is it that my teenager, or preteen adolescent daughter, can obtain an abortion without my knowlegde, yet if she cuts her finger and needs one stitch, no medical facility would touch her without parental consent? Why is it that I would only be informed of her abortion if there were complications requiring hospitalizaion or emergency treatment? THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE, AMERICA! PROLIFERS, SPEAK UP! These sad facts CAN be changed! Legally and peacefully, let's work and pray to end abortion!
